HOW TO HANDLE ABBOTT'S CANDY

Some candy is made months ahead and stored ... but not Abbott's! These superior candies are made to be eaten - at once.
Because it is strictly fresh candy, without preservatives of any kind, we recommend that you sell Abbott's candy promptly, for immediate consumption.

CARAMELS
Abbott's Caramels should be kept under refrigerated or frozen storage to prevent them from "going to sugar" and developing a grainy texture. Exposure of the caramels to warm temperatures will promote the sugaring process. When freezing the caramels, simply allow them to sit overnight at room temperature before eating.

CHOCOLATES
Abbott's chocolates should be kept at temperatures between 60 degrees and 70 degrees. However, refrigeration is not recommended as chocolates may perspire when taken out, which causes "frosting." Dampness is also an enemy of chocolates in an automobile in the sun as a few minutes of such warmth can cause "graying" or "spotting." Also remember that chocolate readily absorbs ordors.
